Holiday rentals in Italy - Tuscany - Two holiday houses for rent (one separating into two apartments) in the hills overlooking Florence. Sleeping from 2 to 12 people, this is peaceful, private holiday accommodation with a pool.
Offering both rural peace but also proximity to Florence, Girasole lies in Bagno a Ripoli - about 15 minutes drive from the centre of the city. Here, old villas stand among olive groves, and the estate is accessed through electronic gates. Three houses (available only for weekly rentals) stand on the large lawn, the middle one being the owner's villa, behind which is a smaller house containing the Tosca and Mina apartments. Casa Violetta, a small, separate villa, is a short distance away. These three units can be rented together or individually. Both guesthouses together can accommodate a total of 12 people: 10 people in the 5 double rooms and 2 on sofa beds. There are 5 bathrooms.
The houses have just been decorated, have stylish interiors and a high standard of comfort. The furniture and fabrics have been chosen with great care, and the apartments have been laid out to ensure the maximum room and privacy.
The gardens are immense: neat lawns surround the various houses, gently merging into the olive groves, and specially furnished garden seating areas have been provided for each apartment. At the far end of the garden is a lovely pool with a magnificent view through olive trees, across the valley to Florence. The town is down in the valley; the silvery River Arno meanders through it and the cathedral dome can be clearly seen, standing out against the rest of the town. Peace and tranquility and a good night's sleep are guaranteed here!
Apartment Tosca is in the old part of the house - a tower dating from the year 1200. It is equipped with TV (regional programmes) and a washing machine. Typically Tuscan is the brick cross-vault style of the spacious and bright sitting room. The striking pattern of the elegant olive-wood parquet floor adds a unique touch to the apartment. It sleeps 2+2 over 140sqm. There is a private entrance from the garden, a kitchen, a sitting room divided into sofa and dining room areas (with a sofa bed), a bedroom with twin beds, and a bathroom with shower. The basement has a double room and a bathroom with shower. This basement has only one small window in the bedroom.
Apartment Mina is on the upper floor with a separate entrance via an outside staircase. The steps are quite steep and therefore not suitable for elderly persons. Mina has a washing machine. Although these are two separate apartments, they are also suitable as combined accommodation for a larger group. If Mina and Tosca are rented together they can accommodate up to 10 people. Meals could be taken together at the large table in Tosca. Mina sleeps 2+2 over 130sqm. Lying on the first floor, it has a separate entrance via an outside staircase to the upper floor, a spacious sitting room divided with a sofa bed and dining areas, a kitchen, a double bedroom, a bathroom with shower, and a bathroom with bathtub.
