Chianti vacation apartments - in the heart of Chianti, Castello de Lamole is a collection of charming vacation apartments for rent. Set in idyllic Tuscan countryside, this also makes an excellent base for visits to Siena, Florence and the rest of Tuscany.
On the slopes of one of the vineyards producing the world-renowned Chianti Classico wines, Castello de Lamole dates back to the 13th Century. It rises out of oak and chestnut woods, its cluster of buildings giving the appearance of a little mediaeval hamlet.
The owners have worked hard at blending the old with the new, producing luxurious Tuscan holiday apartments, while using traditional materials and techniques. As soon as you see the stonework and old tiles of the buildings you know you are in the countryside of old Chianti. And it is in that spirit that a few small houses, each with its own little garden, have been renovated on the estate - carved stonework, wooden beams, open fireplaces and regional furniture comprise the décor, married to a high level of comfort.

And each apartment has its own style and flavour. Mangiatoia is beautifully decorated, and owes its name to the feeding-trough which is still in place; the charm of Ovile lies in its little garden among trees full of birds; and Affaccio is shaded beneath vines and hydrangeas.
The large living room, shared by all the guests, is magnificent, and there is a huge open fireplace that can be used for cooking. The Marasco family, owners of the Castello, are attached to tradition. So you can attend concerts of Tuscan songs, given by Riccardo, a professional singer. You will also be able to taste oil, wine and honey from the estate.
