The castle is situated in one of the most beautiful hillside locations in the upper Mugello, 700 metres above sea level. You reach Castello La Rocca by travelling along the ancient road (formerly used by the Grand Dukes of Tuscany) that joins Tuscany to Emilia-Romagna. The building dates back to mediaeval times. Inside the gardens there is, apart from the castle, the manor Villa di Castello and the caretakers’ house. Although the properties share an entrance, each is independent of the others.
The ground floor in this Tuscan holiday accommodation comprises a kitchen with fireplace and a small lift for bringing dishes from the kitchen to the first floor. There is a pantry and a WC.
On the first floor is a living room, dining room, lounge, and one twin-bedded room with bathroom and hip bath.
The second floor has three double bedrooms, two of which have bathrooms with bath. There is a twin-bedded room, and a further bathroom with bath.
The third floor has a double bedroom, a twin-bedded room, a bathroom with shower and an ironing room.
Should you wish, at time of booking you can request and pay for an additional double bedroom in the tower.
