Chianti farm vacations - among olives trees, vineyards and woods, this holiday farmhouse is ideally located in a unique scenic position on the Chianti hills around Florence - just 10km from the town's historic heart, and with easy access to public bus transport.

Tina and Franco, the owners of La Tinaia house and wine resort, will welcome you in their charming farmhouse. The guest will be guided by them to discover Florence and Tuscany.

La Tinaia is an ideal base both for expeditions into the countryside, with good walking and mountain biking country around, or for exploring Tuscany's artistic and architectural heritage. Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Pisa, Volterra and the tiny hilltop villages of Chianti are all within easy reach.

This Tuscan farm welcomes guests with a warm and relaxing atmosphere, and three comfortable and fully equipped apartments. All three apartments are located on the on the first floor and can accommodation 2 or 4 guests. The accommodation has been restored and furnished in the typical Tuscan country style with beamed ceilings and terracotta floors. There are beautiful views over Chianti hills. All of the apartments are air-conditioned, sat TV and heating.

Apartment La Vigna sleeps two. The apartment comprises a living room with a fully equipped kitchenette, a bathroom with shower, and a double bedroom in the mezzanine loft.

Apartment Il Bosco sleeps four. There is a living room with a fully equipped kitchenette, a bathroom with shower, and two double bedrooms (one of them a loft).

Apartment I Cipressi sleeps four. It offers a living room with an equipped kitchenette, bathroom with shower and two double bedrooms (one of them a loft).

On the ground floor there is a large, common living/dining room with a big fireplace and a kitchen where guests can find all they need for cooking and eating in the garden. On request, we organize Tuscan cooking class. The farm produces and sells its own top-quality extra virgin olive oil and DOCG Chianti wine.

There is a laundry with washing machine and iron at your disposal. A typical local restaurant and small food store lie just 150 metres away, and there are other restaurants and pizzerias nearby. You will find a supermarket, more stores and a post office at 5kms' distance, and there is a tennis court and swimming pool 6km away, with a riding school at 5km.

Prices for two people range from EURO €430 - €490 depending on season, for three people €510 - €630, and for four people €630 - €770. Air-conditioning is available in both apartments at a cost of €30 a week; breakfast at €6 per person per day; an extra bed is €5. Short stays (minimum 2 days) are possible at €34 - €40 per person per day.

Prices include bed, bathroom and kitchen linen and towels with a weekly change, water, electricity, heating, final cleaning, use of the property (bowling, table tennis, mountain bikes, barbecue, traditional wood oven) and parking. Check in is on Saturdays between 4pm and 9pm. Departure is on Saturdays by 10am. Animals are not allowed.
