Outside the house lies a stone paved courtyard (typical in this part of Chianti) and a large private garden. From the courtyard, you can enter directly into a newly renovated three-person studio, with bathroom and kitchen corner. This is furnished in the Tuscan style typical of the whole estate.
The estate itself is set in the green hills of the countryside, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and the Mediterranean scrub woodland of Chianti. On a quiet and isolated hilly position about 300 metres above sea level, the house sits deep in a typically 'Leonardo' landscape. The farm is, however, a short drive on a good road from the town of Greve in Chianti and the main road that links Florence (28km away) and Siena (25km). That also makes this Tuscan holiday house very accessible from the major airports. The major art towns, archaeological sites, Etruscan remains, castles, mediaeval towns and villages, and the Renaissance villas of Tuscany are all easily reached from here.
