Providing holiday rentals in Italy, these apartments in Tuscany, on an active farm, are a perfect introduction to this beautiful part of the world. The quiet beauty of the countryside around Florence has an undeniable appeal for all who seek the best of both worlds, the art treasures of the Renaissance city are just a short journey away, while the relaxing Tuscan landscapes of gentle blue-green hills are on your doorstep.
The farm is about a half hour away from the centre of Florence. It sits near a hamlet famous for for its panoramic position at 500 metres above sea level, between the Chianti region and the Val d’Arno. From the little village square you take a dirt road bordered by cypresses (and with magnificent views) through the olive groves, across the valley to the mountains. After 1.5km you arrive at Poggio Pratelli.

The stone farmhouse has its origins in the thirteenth century, situated on a beautiful hillside with spectacular far-reaching views to the Chianti hills on one side and the Apennines on the other. The house has been restored preserving the original wood-beamed ceilings and terracotta-tiled floors: both the building and garden have carefully maintained the atmosphere of a genuine Tuscan farm.
The owners have created two apartments in the farmhouse for guest use. The first of these holiday rentals in Italy is located on two floors in the oldest part of the house. The ground floor contains the living room and the kitchen. The doors give on to the garden used by this apartment, with a vine-covered terrace, from which you have a beautiful panorama reaching across the valley to the surrounding hills. On the second floor is a room with king-sized bed and bathroom.
The other apartment is on the ground floor, and sleeps four, with two bedrooms, a large eat-in-kitchen facing out onto the garden, a bathroom and its own terrace and garden. The furnishing is tastefully chosen.
