Italy Bed and Breakfast - Tuscany - A romantic and pretty spot for your holiday, this farmhouse has comfortable bed and breakfast rooms near Vinci.
Vinci, lying near Florence, was famously the home of Renaissance genius Leonardo. Tassinaia, an old farmhouse built in 1793, is situated 4km from the town, in a dominating position on a hill surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. With its strategic position, Tassinaia is ideal for both a peaceful and pleasant stay in classic Tuscan countryside, and for outings to the important art cities of Florence, Siena, and Pisa.
And that's not forgetting less-known but equally essential mediaeval and Renaissance jewels such as Vinci, Cerreto Guidi, Montelupo Fiorentino and San Miniato. The Tyrrhenian coast, meanwhile, lies 60km away by motorway, and is easily accessible.

Tassinaia is an agritourism and a typical Tuscan farmhouse (casa colonica). Wood has been the preferred material during the restoration, with as little use made of metal as possible. The entire building has been elegantly restored with painstaking attention to detail; the products used for the treatment of the interiors and for furnishings are exclusively environmentally friendly, and rooms have their own independent heating and 'bio switch' to eliminate magnetic fields once the voltage has been turned off. Each room is a different colour and has futon mattresses. In fact everything at Tassinaia has been designed to offer guests the maximum comfort and to meet their specific needs.
The house has five spacious double bedrooms, some with double, some with twin beds. For shared use there is a very nice living room with fireplace, and a fully equipped kitchen; all the accommodation is situated on the first floor of the farm. The former stables on the ground floor are used for the reception, for the relaxation area and for courses and classes. Outside is a large terrace giving a magnificent view of the Tuscan countryside.
Each bedroom has a large double bed, a lounge corner, a writing table, and its own bathroom with shower cabin. The decoration in the rooms is highly original: as well as having individual colour themes, each bathroom has its own mosaic. The rooms are furnished with new, wooden furniture and the beds have futons or mattresses of natural materials. These holiday rooms are very suitable for the colder season, as each room can be heated separately.
