La Casa Vecchia - accommodation in Tuscany for two people
La Casa Vecchia is at the top of the hill and enjoys a magnificent view
of the mountains. Early in the morning and at dusk you may be lucky enough
to catch a glimpse of the wild animals whose ancient habitat this is. This
house has been thoughtfully conceived in every detail to be in harmony with
nature and offers a romantic getaway for a couple.
On the ground floor there is a large living space with complete kitchen
and large wooden table, woodburning oven and large working fireplace. Large
windows allow for lots of light. There is a small guest bathroom.
The spacious bedroom on the first floor offers an outstanding view from
the window facing the centrally placed double bed. The elegant ensuite bathroom
has a tub. On the lower level there is a private spa with shower, hydromassage
and Turkish bath (steam room) and access to a small outdoor solarium and
herb garden.
Outside there is a charming and well designed garden and gazebo. The guests
in La Casa Vecchia are welcome to use the main swimming pool of Tenuta Tornia.

The art cities of Tuscany can be easily reached from Tenuta Tornia whether by private or public means, with the property lying roughly equidistant from Florence, Siena and Arezzo. Slightly further afield are the Umbrian towns of Perugia, Assisi, Orvieto and Todi, all perfectly 'doable' as day-trips. There is a wide selection of walks of differing difficulties on the estate, while nearby it is possible to horseride, fish, golf and cycle. For the less active there are little towns and villages to explore and the nearby designer outlet The Mall offering the best in Italian shopping.
Maid and babysitting service is available on request, charged locally. We do not accept animals, and we welcome non-smoking guests only please. We prefer to rent the houses by the week (longer periods attract a discount) but shorter rentals may be negotiated.

Low season: from 14/10/09 to 12/12/09 and from 09/01/10 to 27/03/10
High season: from 12/12/09 to 09/01/10 and from 27/03/10 to 25/09/10
Casa Rossa costs Euro 3000 in low season and Euro 4000 in high season, La
Limonaia costs Euro 1000 in low season and Euro 1400 in high season, La
