This B and B in Florence has eight rooms. Six of them are double rooms with private bath, one is a suite with a double room and a sitting room-kitchen, the last is a single room. Each room has a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside, and the architecture and furnishings reflect the history of the building, with terracotta-tiled floors and beamed ceilings.
All the bedrooms have wrought iron twin or double beds, telephone, satellite TV, wall safe and minibar. Each room has a shower room with hairdryer. Breakfast is served either in the cosy dining room or on the sunny terrace, and a continental buffet breakfast is included in the price.
The swimming pool (10 x 5 metres) is usually open from the beginning of May until the middle of October, and it should be possible to rent mountain bikes during your stay. Your host, Signora Manetti, is a superb cook and she will happily give lessons, which you can pay for during your stay. You can also arrange lessons in artistic stained glass work, and compositions with dried, pressed flowers. Wine and olive oil can be purchased from La Torricella.
Nearby facilities include tennis courts 10km away. Ugolino golf club is 7km away. Galluzzo, 1km away, has a post office, food shops, pharmacy and restaurant. There is a petrol station with 24-hour service; the bus stop is 200 metres from the house.

From here it is just a short trip into Florence, with its countless attractions and sights. There are museums and galleries to fill every day of your holiday should you choose, including the Accademia, the Bargello and the Uffizi. There is the signature building of Florence, the Duomo (cathedral) of Santa Maria del Fiore. And there is marvellous architecture such as the Baptistery and the Campanile which, with the cathedral, cluster around the Piazza del Duomo. And there is the Ponte Vecchio ... an extraordinary slice of Renaissance Florence.
