The Villa Teatro sleeps 10+6 over 7 bedrooms, with 4 bathrooms and a further WC. Lying 25km south of Florence in the direction of San Gimignano, the house covers 300sqm, and has a double living room with dining and sitting area, a kitchen and laundry area. The villa has open fireplaces, a piano, satellite TV, video, DVD, hifi, telephone, fax, internet access, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer; it has a garden, barbecue, swimming pool and parking.
The large stone farmhouse was built at the beginning of the 1800s. Recently the interior and exterior have been beautifully restored. The atmosphere is uncompromisingly authentic and the architectural style of Tuscany and the traditional workmanship of the region are reflected in the smallest details: ample rooms with immaculate white walls; handmade terracotta tiles over the entire floor; a brick roof resting on mighty oak beams; elegant, silver-grey Pietra-Serena stone framing the windows; and doors of cypress wood, with neat brass fittings in the antique style.
Beautifully secluded and private, the villa lies 800m up its own private driveway. Its isolated and dominating location, surrounded by 4 hectares of private grounds, guarantees peace, privacy, and a panoramic view over the gently rolling hills. The garden has benches where you can relax and enjoy the lovely surroundings, and a nicely situated (and large) swimming pool with a shower in a small bamboo grove. This magnificent country home belongs to an artist - a renowned director, actor, teacher of modern theatre and painter. It can now be rented by private groups or families.
