Apartment Ulivi covers 90 square metres, sleeping 4+2 people. The apartment has an open plan living/dining room with a double sofa-bed and satellite TV. The kitchen has a large fridge-freezer, oven, and 4-ring hob. A kettle, toaster and American-style coffee machine are available on request. There is a mansard bedroom with a queen-sized bed and - next to the living room - a second bedroom, also with a queen-sized bed. Ulivi's bathroom has both tub and shower and contains a washing machine. This apartment has a private covered terrace, equipped with a table and chairs and a studio corner. Should you wish, both the apartments can be booked together to accommodate a larger party.
The villa shares a swimming pool with a neighbouring property, just 30 yards from the house. The maximum number of guests sharing the pool at one time will be 18 people.
This part of the Florentine hills has long been lauded as one of the most beautiful areas in Tuscany. The narrow country lanes around the villa are almost traffic free, and you'll want to explore this area on foot, enjoying long tranquil walks to the Piazzale Michelangelo (with the best views over Florence), Forte Belvedere and the historical centre of the city itself.
Nearby you can find the Arcetri Observatory and Villa Il Gioiello. These provide a remarkable link between Italy and science past and present. Galileo Galilei lived and worked here, and nearby was the convent where his daughter Maria was a nun. Arcetri is in a lovely position. Situated on the hills of Florence's most desirable area, it is a rural paradise yet just 10 minutes from central Florence, with its Duomo, the Uffizi, Santa Maria Novella and San Marco.
