Stroll outside and you come across a 24 x 56 foot swimming pool with plenty of furniture and umbrellas. When you've had a dip, relax on the large terrace with its tables, chairs and a hammock.
The nearest grocery is 1km away, with an 18-hole golf course 15km distant. Florence (and its airport) lies 35km away, making this villa very accessible for visitors and making day trips into the city very easy.
You're in a lovely part of Tuscany here. The Mugello region is a lush, fertile area, much like its neighbour Chianti, though much less busy with tourists. Vineyards and olive groves cluster around the Sieve River. Around about grow lush forests of chestnut, oak and pine. Pay a visit to the town of Vicchio, just 4km away, the birthplace of famed painter Fra'Angelico.
The countryside is dotted with little towns and villages, ideal places to stop off and explore the marvellous Tuscan cuisine at one of the many restaurants around. Ask your hosts who will be happy to point you in the right direction for the best places to eat, drink and enjoy this lovely part of Italy.
