Lying in the hills above the Tuscan city of Florence, Italy, Villa Montartino offers deluxe guest house accommodation.
Montartino was built in the eleventh century as a watchtower, ensuring the safe transit of goods into Florence. It’s easy to see why. Built on the crown of a hill, the Ema Valley stretches below as far as the eye can see.
The lovely little villa reopened as a small hotel in 1999. Lying on the outskirts of Florence, it has the advantages of being both easy to find and providing convenient parking. Staying in this guesthouse accommodation, you will feel like a guest in a secluded country estate, yet Florence lies just 3km away.

And with fine wooden furniture and many beautiful antiques, the ambience is evoked of a noble old house.
The guestrooms are all spacious and the luxuriously decorated without being pretentious. All of the rooms are air-conditioned; they have satellite TV, safe, mini bar, direct-dial phone, and a computer connection. The luxury doesn’t stop with the room. There is also a large, heated swimming pool, Jacuzzi, and steam bath.
Staff daily change the superb quality bed and bath linen, and they refreshen the room twice a day. The house may be traditional, but the bathrooms are modern, clean and functional, and come with a wall-mounted hairdryer and a wide range of complimentary products.
