Villa Ulivi is a beautiful and luxurious fifteenth-century Florentine villa located in a residential area in a typical Tuscan landscape a few minutes from the centre of Florence.
Accommodation is offered on a bed and breakfast basis in double rooms, some triple rooms, and five suites sleeping four to six people. The villa can fully be rented.
The town is easily reachable on foot or by bus down the well-known Via Bolognese; the villa also has partnerships with scooter and bicycle rental companies. The building is surrounded by beautiful vineyards and olive groves, along with local flowers and blossoming trees, and the garden is filled with roses and lavender. Villa Ulivi is close to the various tourism activities in Florence, but at the same time separate from the city atmosphere.
The interior of the villa has many unique and classic elements, like the golden eight-metre ceilings, the wooden balcony, the chandeliers, and the ancient stone wine cellar, made up of three rooms with vaulted roofs and fifteenth-century stonework now used for wine-tasting and exploring the 1500-bottle collection.
The Sixteenth and Seventeenth century pieces in the large
lounges and the ancient horse-stables also contribute to giving the villa
a unique classical atmosphere.
There is a back patio, and a beautiful rooftop terrace, both of which have
incredible views of the hills and city.
One of the common areas provides a computer with internet access, wireless
internet, a printer, a scanner, a telephone and a fax machine.
On request the management can organize private parties catered by Florence's best chefs, and cooking classes are often held in the villa grounds. The chapel is available for private religious services, and the barbecue grill can be used for family meals.
English and French are spoken.
The rooms at Villa Ulivi are spacious and comfortable and furnished with local antiques, there are beautiful wood floors and the walls are covered with hand-painted frescoes. Each room is equipped with a private bathroom with prestigious marble tiling and a luxurious tub or shower.
A fresh breakfast, made up of Florentine bread, coffee, tea, juice and home-made cakes and jams is served each morning in the lounges or the outdoor terraces depending on the season.
