Volognano is an old castle dating back to the 11th century, built in a dominating position over the surrounding land, and surrounded by mediaeval woodlands. Finely restored, the castle is furnished throughout with antique furniture. This attention to authentic detail is complemented by a host of modern conveniences, making this an extremely comfortable as well as a very traditional holiday in Tuscany.
The outdoor areas are well kept and consist of a small Italian-style garden and a swimming pool; this sits partly inside a former lemon-tree hothouse and partly outdoors. The pool has an adjoining changing room and shower.
The ground floor of this Tuscan holiday castle comprises a living room, dining room, kitchen and toilet. The first floor has a small lounge, a double bedroom with bathroom with bath and shower, two twin-bedded rooms and a bathroom with shower with massaging water jets.
The second floor has a double bedroom with bathroom with shower, two twin-bedded rooms, a study/library, a bathroom with bath and shower and a laundry room. On the third floor lies a large billiard room with TV and games table. The villa has TV, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and telephone.
