Within the village of Saturnia itself we have two apartments, Oliveto and Frantoio.
Oliveto is on the first floor of the building and sleeps
four.
The stairs open into the living room which has a fireplace and kitchen area,
one double and one twin room comprise the sleeping accommodation. The twin
room has views of the rustic village square while the other rooms look out
onto an ancient olive grove enclosed within castle walls. This castle was
built over the remains of a Roman structure.
Frantoio is on the ground floor of one of the oldest houses
in the village, this also sleeps four. The accommodation consists of a large
sitting/dining room with an exposed wooden beam ceiling and a kitchenette
in the corner. The sleeping arrangements consist of a master bedroom with
double bed and a twin room with two single beds. Two shower/WC's are provided
also. This apartment is ideal for those who want to experience the pleasures
of simple village life with the convenience of a gourmet restaurant just
outside your door.
