La Vecchia Follonica is a recently restored mini vacation rental apartment for two guests situated in the centre of Follonica in southern Tuscany and only 400m from the sea. Follonica lies roughly 25 miles to the north of Grosseto and a short drive from Piombino and the ferry to Elba.

Furnished in 19th century Tuscan style with a built-in kitchen and dining area, fireplace, sofabed, two armchairs, bathroom, TV and independent heating, the apartment leads to the garden where there is also a 40sqm sun terrace almost a large as the apartment. Furnished for al fresco dining and with sunloungers, this is a most attractive green haven where you can relax away from the bustle of this livel little Tuscan town. Although in the town centre and therefore close to all the amenities and with the railway station only 200m away, this is a pleasantly tranquil area where you are woken in the morning by birdsong. You're roughly halfway between Florence and Rome, both easily reachable by train, should you fancy a day trip away from the beach.

Follonica is a popular seaside destination, especially with Italians themselves, and the beaches are frequent winners of the 'blue flag' award for quality and cleanliness.
