This apartment in Lucca is set just outside the medieval city walls. Sleeping four, it’s the ideal base for a family in this lovely Tuscan town.
Set on the fourth floor of a building in the ‘Arancio’ area of town, the apartment has an entrance hall, a storage room with shelves from floor to ceiling, a fully equipped kitchen, large and light dining/sitting room, two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Dowstairs, on the ground floor, there is a garage for bicycles and a very convenient parking place for the car. A lift/elevator takes you from ground level up to the apartment, which was completely renovated in spring 2007.
[ local map | map of region ]Lucca itself is a beautiful old city, set within fifteenth century walls (still entirely intact) and laid out along the original Roman street grid within. It has medieval churches, a fine cathedral (duomo), museums and galleries. There is very good shopping in the narrow and largely pedestrianised streets, and Lucca has a host of good restaurants, cafes and bars. On bicycle is a safe, easy and fun way to explore and discover this marvellous Tuscan city.
