Apartment Rosso di Colle: two bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin), each with a private bathroom (shower); Living room with kitchenette (oven, fridge, stove, dishwasher, washing machine), TV and double sofabed. Total accommodation: 4+2.
Apartment Roccolo: Double bedroom, livingroom with kitchenette (oven, stove, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine), TV and double sofabed. Sleeps 2+2.
La Cappella offers a seductive combination of a country setting - splendid scenery, invigorating country walks and the scent of wild flowers - and ease of access to the sights of Tuscany.
The country house is only 7km from the small but lively city of Lucca, best known for its massive mediæval walls, but also notable for a vibrant cultural life, excellent restaurants and dozens of churches, towers and museums.
The city has excellent links to the rest of Tuscany, and whether driving or using public transport, you can be on the beach at Viareggio or admiring the Leaning Tower in Pisa within 30 minutes, or in the spectacular city of Florence in about an hour.
The countryside to the north quickly rises into the foothills, and then the peaks, of the Apuan and Appennine alps. Several popular resorts cater for winter sports enthusiasts, but with fairy-tale fortified villages, and growing populations of wolves and wild boar in the forests, this is a wonderful place to visit throughout the year.
