A superb apartment in the centre of Lucca in Tuscany, within an ancient building, and beautifully renovated.
Casa Olivieri is a completely renovated apartment, a section of an ancient building located in the centre of Lucca, within the medieval walls. Back in the 13th century, this was the headquarters of the Law Courts. Only much later, in the 1900s, was it sold and divided as shops and apartments.
The Olivieri family bought the apartment in 1999, and it was completely renovated in 2007: now you can see the ancient ceilings, and parts of the medieval architecture.

The apartment is on the first floor, and has its own entrance, a terrace (4,5 X 1,5 metres) and a veranda; kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave; bathroom with shower; a double bedroom, a twin bedroom (both air conditioned) and a single bedroom. The flat has colour TV, washing machine, iron and ADSL internet connection is free. It sleeps a maximum of five guests.

If you come by car, please note that in the centre of the town there is no free car parking, so you need to use pay spaces: there are some of these near the apartment, the closest 150 metres away. If you come by plane, your hosts can provide a transfer service to and from the airport. This service is on request, and the price depends on the number of people.
Casa Olivieri is in Vicolo S.Pierino, on the first floor, near the Church of St Paolino, and right in the historical heart of things. Lucca is a small city, entirely surrounded by tree-topped medieval walls. It has really good shops, and plenty of artistic, cultural and historic sights. One of Italy's finest mediaeval treasures, the centre is relatively unspoilt and is sprinkled with palazzi, towers and numerous splendid churches. The surrounding hills produce some excellent wines and arguably the finest olive oil anywhere. By car from here, Pisa is 20 minutes away, and Florence 45 minutes. On the coast, Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi are only a half an hour's drive.
