This vacation rental in Tuscany is a holiday house close to Lucca, Italy. With three bedrooms, two bathrooms, air conditioning and a Jacuzzi for five, this Tuscan house offers a comfortable and relaxing vacation venue.

Casa Contadina (sleeping 6+1) is an independent large house converted to wonderful holiday house. The holiday home has two entrances on the ground floor. There is a main entrance hall, living/dining room with dining table, upholstered furniture, fireplace, spacious kitchen with fireplace, authentic wood-burning oven for pizza, stove, oven, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. Two stairs lead to a bathroom with tub/shower, WC, bidet and ante-bathroom with washing machine. There are stairs to the first floor, which has a double bedroom with a spacious walk-in closet, a bathroom with shower, WC, bidet, bedroom with a French-sized bed (1.50m), and a twin bedroom.

The furnishings are very comfortable and tasteful, partly with antique pieces and tapestry, terracotta-tiled floors and beamed ceilings. There is an elegant outdoor area in front of the house equipped with a table, chairs and spacious gazebo. The holiday home has another garden (50 metres from the house) where you may sunbathe: deckchairs will be at your disposal.

There is parking in a small square near the entrance gate. Two bikes are available on request. An attractive element of this traditional house with modern comforts is air-conditioning in all bedrooms and five-person outdoor Jacuzzi with hydromassage. Weekly prices are EURO €650, €750 and €850, depending on the season; linen€8 per person per week. Air conditioning and Jacuzzi is charged by use; final cleaning is €60.

The houses have lovely surroundings. Marlia is a village located to the north of Lucca and 7km from the town centre. This area has numerous historical villas with magnificent parks, planted with age-old trees and gorgeous lemon groves. You can visit these, for example Villa Reale in Marlia, the former residence of Elisa, sister of Napoleon Bonaparte. There are sandy beautiful beaches at 20 Km away.

Wine lovers can explore the Strada del Vino, which winds its way among the rolling hills – you can taste wine, olive oil and local dishes. You will find all you need in the neighbourhood, including restaurants, bars, grocers, post office and bank. A large supermarket lies 2km from the property.

Nearby work a diversity of craftsmen. The carpenter renovates antique furniture, doors or shutters, the mechanic fixes old pieces by hand, and there is a working shoemaker. They will be happy to show you their art and skills.
