Villa Coronata has been restored to the highest standards, using the best of local materials including fine Carrara marble (a favorite of Michelangelo and other Renaissance sculptors), hand-made terracotta and traditional chestnut beams. A luxury home in a peaceful country setting, the villa sits on a small rise with all-round views of the surrounding vineyards, olive groves and picturesque Tuscan villages.
The villa and its attendant farmhouse are set in landscaped gardens with a working pizza oven, a barbecue and a poolside gazebo. Sloping lawns lead down from the accommodation to the solar-heated pool — 12x5m with high-quality poolside furniture, a terracotta tiled border, and an ‘infinity edge’ looking out over the countryside. The pool is available from May through to September, although it can be opened at other times by arrangement (subject to weather conditions.)
The accommodation is suitable for up to 14 guests, with four double bedrooms in the villa and three in the farmhouse. Villa Coronata has its own sweet-water well and backup power generator — a welcome bonus given the rural setting. Maid service is included in the rental price and cooks can be provided at extra cost. Apart from telephone charges there are no other extras to pay.

The villa is arranged on three floors, with the kitchen, dining room, laundry room and entrance hall on the ground floor. This level also has a double bedroom with a shower-room and doors to an outside terrace. The kitchen and dining room also have doors to the landscaped gardens.
Wide stone steps lead to the first floor and a large living room, with a log-burning fireplace and a view over the swimming pool. Also on this floor are a cloakroom and a study with internet access, fax and telephone facilities. Decor throughout is traditional, with chestnut beams and terracotta lending the rooms a welcoming warmth.
The top floor consists of three bedrooms, all with wonderful views. The master bedroom has an en suite marble-tiled bathroom; the other two double bedrooms have en suite shower rooms beautifully tiled with Italian ceramics.
