Cooking courses will introduce you to the best in Italian and Tuscan cuisine, and your hosts are happy to suggest the best typical Tuscan restaurants in the area (and arrange table bookings). Upon your arrival you will be supplied with a local map with complete information regarding food shops, butchers, supermarkets, pharmacies and banks in the area. You will also receive information on the tourist cities, and general suggestions for trips and itineraries. There are cycles for hire at the hotel, and your hosts will give you ideas on routes for you to explore the magnificent Tuscan hills.

There is an excellent food on offer at this Lucca hotel. The set menu (excluding drinks) includes dishes such as vegetable risotto, the vegetarian tasting menu, cream of zucchini with cuttlefish salad and pine nuts and many more.

There are convention bookings available at the Villa Volpi meeting rooms. The Villa is also the perfect setting for any special event, and your hosts will be happy to help you organise your wedding or party. This farm-based venue has a banqueting hall and restaurant. By request you can also use the hall for private parties, specially themed parties, birthdays and banquets with the help of caterers and a specialised team.

The Hotel Rex is in the Station Square (also called Piazza Ricasoli), so anyone wishing to reach the hotel needs only to follow the signs to the stazione. You’ll also find the hotel easily accessible both from the main highways and from the airport; your hosts will give you detailed directions.
