This beautiful apartment, with wooden beams and stone walls, has recently been completely refurbished with a new kitchen, bathrooms, and new furnishings. The apartment is situated over two floors. On the ground floor are the kitchen/dining room and living room, each with a door leading to a very large terrace overlooking the Tuscan hills. There is also a bathroom, with full-size bath and shower, on the ground floor. The upper floor includes two double bedrooms and a single bedroom (plus roll-away bed) all with views over the hills. There is also a shower room on the upper floor.
Barga is a peaceful, medieval town with restaurants, shops, antique dealers and a Saturday morning market — these Tuscany holiday rentals lie in the perfect position for exploring the town. There are various festivals throughout the summer months, and the town is just 40 minutes north of the shopping and restaurants of Lucca, one hour from the sandy beaches of Viareggio, an hour from the monuments and architecture of Pisa, 90 minutes from the art treasures of Florence and approximately two hours from beautiful Siena.
There is plenty to do nearby these Tuscany holiday rentals. There is a community swimming pool and tennis courts, in a beautiful rural setting, a short distance (two-minute drive) from the apartment. Horseback riding and hiking are within a few minutes, as well. The hot-spring bath spa of Bagni di Lucca, made famous by Byron, is less than a half hour's drive away. Winter skiing is available at Abetone, about an hour away. The beautiful mountain resort of Il Ciocco, with its luxurious gardens, swimming pool and sports facilities is 10 minutes by car and can be used for a reasonable daily fee.

Weekly rentals range from EURO €600 to €1000 a week. Rentals start and end on Saturdays, check-in from 2pm, check-out by 10am. The nearest airport is Pisa (75 minutes by car). Pick-up can be arranged (pre-arranged fee, paid by renter). Towels and linen are provided, and prices include electricity, cooking gas and final cleaning. Central heating costs are extra.
