This holiday villa in Tuscany, near Lucca, is set in a beautiful countryside admist olive groves and vineyards. From the edge of the private pool and all around it enjoy a fantastic view like from the hot tub under the canopy in the night.
Casa Mennone lies about 800 metres outside the village of Segromigno in Monte, on the hills to the north of the ancient city of Lucca. This is a country house in a typical Tuscan country setting of vines and olives. Surrounded by a large lawn (five hectares) it has a circular swimming pool (diameter 10 metres, depth 1.3 – 1.5 metres). From here you can admire the panoramic view over the Piana di Lucca (Lucca plain) with its little villages.

Casa Mennone is an ideal place to spend your holidays completely peacefully in the midst of nature. The house stands in a sunny and a very quiet location and has a wonderful view. The road, with a fine view, leads through little towns and villages up to the Pizzorna mountains (900 metres above sea level) and it is perfect for jogging and mountain biking. This is the Wine Route of the hills of Lucca and Montecarlo, and you’ll find several farms and wine shops.
The house has been renovated in careful sympathy with the original
structure – retaining the old beamed ceilings, terracotta floors and
the barn (transformed into living space). The house is easily reachable from
the highway and you can easily explore Tuscany, with its enticing cities and
areas, including Pisa, Siena, Florence, the Versilian coast, the mountainous
Garfagnana and much more. The Cinque Terre in Liguria can also be easily reached
in about two hours. This accommodation is ideal for lovers of trekking and
biking. The house is an indipendent unit and comunicates with a barn. It can
accommodate up to 17 guests.

The main house is laid out as follows. On the ground floor is a spacious dining room with fireplace: it joins the kitchen through two arches. The kitchen is equipped with hob, dishwasher, oven, fridge and freezer. There is a small living room, bathroom with shower. Air conditioning is available. Adjacent to the kitchen there is an old spacious saloon, now completely restructured and equipped with a big marble table ideal for breakfast. In the kitchen there is a two doors fridge with ice maker. On the first floor is a large living room with sofas, large table and satellite TV. The bedrooms are each accessible from this room: there are five bedrooms (one with French-style bed, one with twin beds). There are two bathrooms: one with bathtub and another with double shower. There is internet wi-fi connection.
The barn has a bedroom with access to the extern and large bathroom with shower and double basin. The small living room has two sofa beds. On the first floor there are three bedrooms (one with twin beds and two double bedrooms) with and two bathrooms with shower.
The furnishings are in rustic style: there are old furnishings and iron beds. The outdoor space is equipped with sun beds, two wooden tables, a handy brick barbecue, and a slide for the children. On one side of the house there is an old wooden oven where they used to make bread – perfect for pizza. There is a service room with washing machine and a fridge.
