A delightful vacation villa in Tuscany, Italy, the Palazzo D’Arcato is a beautiful and charming old house situated in a quiet and panoramic location in the hills surrounding Lucca, in the medieval village of Lugliano.

The Panoramic Apartment sleeps six, with a large balcony. The stone stairway up leads you to a lounge room with leather couches and a stone fireplace with 32in LCD TV, DVD and surround sound system. Doors open out to the balcony which continues across the entire level. The balcony has a large teak table and chairs for outdoor entertaining.

The fully equipped gourmet kitchen with marble top, chestnut cupboards and centre isle is for lovers of cooking. There is a double oven with a six-burner gas hob, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine (clothes dryer is located in communal garden area), ironing facilities and all necessities for entertaining. Through the hall way is the dining area for eight persons, which was once the chapel and again opens through to the balcony.

The main bedroom with king-size bed has a very romantic feel as it opens out onto the balcony. This is complete with en-suite, comprising American-style shower, WC and hair dryer. The second bedroom has a queen size bed. The main bathroom has a shower and bath, WC and hair dryer. A spiral staircase leads to a charming attic and the third bedroom, which can have two single beds or a king size.

Terrazzo Apartment sleeps six, and has small balconies. As you enter through the main entrance there are only two steps to the door of the Terrazzo Apartment. As you proceed through the hallway there is a spacious dining area for six and large lounge area with modern leather comfortable couches with 26in wide screen LCD TV, DVD, CD stereo sound system. This opens out to a fabulous balcony.

A new, fully equipped kitchen area has been built with a four-burner gas hob and oven, microwave, dishwasher and ironing facilities. The kitchen opens out to a balcony where guests can enjoy their breakfast while taking in the outstanding views. The original stone cooking area and stone sink have been meticulously restored giving you a romantic feel of days gone by.

The spacious main bedroom offers a king size bed with a desk, and the en-suite has a shower, WC and hairdryer. The room opens onto a balcony where one can sit enjoying the ambience and scenic charm of Tuscany. The second bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed. Off the second bedroom is the main bathroom with shower, WC, bidet and hairdryer. The third bedroom has two single beds and is tastefully decorated with exquisite lighting, wardrobe space and balcony with deck chairs and small table.

Apartment Il Giardino A sleeps 2-4. The entrance is at ground level. The flat has a fully equipped kitchen with gas hob, oven, dishwasher, microwave, ironing facilities and dining table and chairs. The lounge area has chairs and a comfortable couch which converts into a double bed for extra guests. It is equipped with LCD TV, DVD player and CD stereo system. The large bathroom is modern with a cutting edge design: marble vanity top, American style shower, WC, bidet and hairdryer. The bedroom has a queen-size bed and opens out to the garden area with an outdoor setting. You may also opt to join the two ground floor apartments, Giardino A and B, to sleep eight.

Giardino B sleeps 2-4, and has a fully equipped kitchen with gas top, oven, dishwasher, microwave, ironing facilities, dining table and chairs. The lounge area has chairs and a comfortable couch which converts into a double bed for extra guests. It is equipped with an LCD TV, DVD player and CD stereo system. This area opens out onto an outdoor setting and garden, and of course the spectacular views. The bedroom offers a queen size bed and, stepping up from the bedroom, is an alcove for clothes and storage. The apartment has a superb bathroom with modern fittings, American style shower, WC, bidet and hairdryer.

The Roman Pool is yours to enjoy, complete with sun deck loungers around the pool area. Outdoor towels are provided. There is a covered pergola with an outdoor setting for 12 people with barbecue facilities and outdoor sink for those long relaxing lunches by the pool, followed by an afternoon siesta.

The Panoramic Apartment is EURO €2500 in July and August, €2000 in June, September, Easter and Christmas, €1750 in May, €1500 other periods. There is a cleaning bond of €45/€200.

Terrazzo is €2000 in July and August, €1800 in June, September, Easter and Christmas, €1400 in May, €1200 other periods. There is a cleaning bond of €45/€200.

Giardino A and B are each €1000 in July and August, €800 in June, September, Christmas and Easter, €700 in May, €600 other periods. There is a cleaning bond of €30/€150 for each.

All apartments come fully equipped with bathroom towels, pool towels and linen; cleaning of the rooms daily may be done upon request at an additional charge.
