The apartment is in the heart of the historic centre of town, very near the main street of Via Fillungo and five minutes' stroll from the famous walls of the city.
The apartment lies on the top floor of a typical Lucca townhouse or palazzo, and enjoys marvellous views over the city. From here you overlook the roofs and clock towers of the town and the hills surrounding Lucca. The apartment consists of a hall, a living room with sofa-chair, kitchenette, twin bedroom and a bathroom with shower. A lovely marriage of ancient and modern, the apartment has been completely restructured, and incorporates traditional Tuscan terracotta floors. The flat has its own central heating and a washing machine.
When you step outside to explore Lucca you'll find yourself in one of Italy's loveliest cities. Smaller and less busy with tourists than its fellow Tuscan cities, such as Pisa and Florence, Lucca is packed with delights for the visitor. More than two thousand years old, the original street plan of the town was laid out by the Romans. Over this, in the Middle Ages, the prosperous merchants of Lucca laid out new streets - narrow and mazy, some of them little more than alleyways.
