This magnificent villa organises events and provides conference facilities, and location for wedding parties.

The first acknowledgement of the Villa is found in 1646 as the property of Archdeacon Giovanni Tegrimi. In 1682 Francesco, son of Giovanni Tegrimi, sold the property to Sebastiano Federigo Orsucci, son of the late Coriolano Orsucci, nobleman of Lucca.

Works on the building started in the middle of the XVIII century and went on until 1781 and it became what we see today. The villa remained the property of the Orsuccis until 1836, when it was bought by Carolina Murat Bonaparte, the Queen of Naples. In 1840 the house passed to Baron Costantino Tossizza, then later to Pietro Zanardi. In 1899 it passed to the Orlando family, who own the villa today.

The two paintings of great size that hang in the hall, one of which depicts the Rape of the Sabine, the second Orazio Coclite at the Bridge, are considered to be the work of the painter Vincenzo Dandini, who also painted the two big pictures in the hall of Villa Torrigiani in Camigliano.

As it has been hinted earlier, the Villa acquired its present status through the care of three generations of the noble family Orsucci. A memorial tablet can still be found on the villa’s back façade to remind us of the imposing work. These are the words carved in stone:

"VILLAM CORIOLANO ORSUCCIO F.L. EXTRUCTAM. CAROLUS FILIUS AUXIT LAURENTIUS NEPOS PERFECIT. ANNO MDCCLXXXI"

The villa offers sumptuous lunches and dinners and conference facilities as well as a location for wedding parties. The house, which though a stately home is not open to the public, is both a home and a location for events. Still occupied by the Orlando family, it offers a very refinend hospitality for various events. On reservation the villa can cater for lunch and dinner guests (groups of a minimum of 30 people) with menus based on ancient Italian and Tuscan recipes. This is also the ideal venue for conferences, with the villa available for groups of up to 120/150 guests.

The villa has a pool (5 by 10 metres), lying roughly 100 metres from the house; there is also a house in the garden called Casa Rosa, and an ancient limonaia (lemonery).
