Villa Wanda, Garfagnana – country house north of Lucca, Tuscany

Villa Wanda is in the village of Gromignana in the comune of Coreglia Antelminelli, a beautiful medieval town 35km from Lucca in Tuscany. The villa is just a short distance from natural park 'Orrido di Botri' with its guided excursions. And for lovers of sunny beaches, the famous Tuscan seaside of Versilia is only an hour away by car.

Situated at the foot of the Tosco Emiliane Apennines, the property is immersed in nature and surrounded by shady chestnut woods and sunny green fields, perfect for summer walks and in an ideal position for passing periods of total relaxation. Lying at an altitude of 600 metres above sea level, the climate is very pleasant and comfortable even in the hottest months. In the last part of August and throughout September there is the chance to hunt for the famous Porcini mushrooms which abound in the undergrowth.

The house has been recently renovated and the use of pastel colours has created an ambience that is luminous and at the same time relaxing. The villa comprises a live-in kitchen, large lounge with fireplace and small living room. Upstairs are three rooms, of which two are doubles and the third with three single beds. There is also a large bathroom.

Furnished simply and elegantly, there is a kitchen with fridge and cooker, the option of satellite TV and linen, and animals are permitted. There is a small above-the-ground swimming pool ( 4.5 x 2.3 metres) in which to cool off in the summer months. This villa to rent in Tuscany is €600 per week, with monthly rentals also possible.
