Fattoria di Libbiano is a 350 acre farm in the scenic countryside south of Volterra in Tuscany, Italy. With splendid views - it is on the edge of the Montefufoli natural park and within sight of ancient Volterra - the farm makes a perfect spot for a relaxing holiday in Italy. There are six apartments for rent and the farm has a pair of swimming pools, one with a hydromassage system.

Each of the apartments has a private entrance and has been carefully renovated and decorated in a traditional, rustic style. There are four ground floor flats suitable for 2+1 guests: each has a double bedroom, a kitchenette/livingroom with a single sofabed, and a bathroom with shower. Two larger apartments, situated on the upper floor, share a large terrace with splendid views. Each of these apartments is suitable for 4+1, with a double and a twin bedroom and the possibility of an extra single bed. Each also has a livingroom with kitchenette.

Fattoria di Libbiano is a charming, peaceful spot where you can easily pass your holiday taking relaxing walks in the woods, exploring the grounds or catching up on some poolside reading. Nearby attractions include the fascinating Etruscan stronghold of Volterra, and Larderello's famous Geothermal Energy Museum and unique naturally-heated pool.

If you want to see more of Tuscany and central Italy, you'll find the location handy for short trips to Siena, Florence, Pisa and San Gimignano, all of which are within an hour's drive. Children and sun-seekers will be glad to hear that the coast is only 40 minutes away - with some marvellous spots south of Livorno and the chance to take a boat-trip to Elba.

Gourmets have a wide range of traditonal trattorias and restaurants to explore, while oenophiles are perfectly placed for visits to Chianti, Montalcino, Montepulciano and (best of all) the home of Italy's first 'supertuscan': Sassicaia in nearby Bolgheri.
