Set along the ancient Pilgrim's Way, the Via Francigena that connects Canterbury in England with Rome, you find the fascinating village of Bagno. The tiny village centre is a large rectangular basin in which hot thermal spring waters flow from underground volcanic origins. The healing properties of the thermal waters in Bagno Vignoni were discovered first by the Etruscans and then by the Romans.
