Also on the ground floor lies Apartment Tabacco. A private entrance leads into the spacious living dining/room, complete with satellite TV. And French windows open onto your private furnished portico - ideal for dining, enjoying a drink, or simply taking the evening air.
Off the living room lies the kitchen niche, fully equipped with
a gas range, oven, fridge and dishwasher. Turn left as you enter the apartment
and a door leads you to one double bedroom and one twin bedded room, as well
as a complete bathroom with shower stall.

And there's plenty to explore nearby. Enter San Gimignano and you immediately step back into mediaeval Tuscany. In the middle ages, local families practised one-upmanship by competing to build the highest tower. Many still survive, making the little hilltop town a spectacular place to visit.

its town walls, first raised in the 4th century BC. Thanks to its isolated
position, Volterra is unspoiled by the 21st century, retaining its mediaeval
character.

Certaldo too is steeped in history. It was the home of Giovanni Boccaccio, 13th century author of the Decameron and one of the fathers of European literature - you can visit his faithfully preserved house in the town. And with Certaldo on the main railway line to Florence and Siena, this makes it an ideal starting point to exploring two of Tuscany's major centres. Leave the car at Certaldo and you'll be in the city in an hour.
Or you might decide to simply stay home and relax by the pool. Discreetly placed and shared with the guests of the neighbouring hotel, it lies just 60 yards from the apartments.
