Follonico Bed and Breakfast, accommodation close to Montepulciano, Tuscany

Follonico, a Tuscan farmhouse dating back to the nineteenth century, was once the centre of activity for the surrounding vineyards.

Now, after two years of painstaking restoration, it welcomes you to its four suite bed and breakfast immersed in landscape of absolute beauty. The charming combination of original features with modern luxury is complemented by the stunning surroundings of vineyards, cypresses, olive groves, woods and gentle pastures. Local wildlife includes pheasants, hares, deer, wild boar, porcupines and hawks, while the charms of Montepulciano and Montefollonico are a short distance away.

Our four suites range in size from 35 - 48 square metres, and all are complete with ensuite bathroom. The efficiency and comfort of modern technology offers free internet access, year round temperature control, and a 'raindance' shower. Each bed has a spring-independent mattress and there is a selection of pillows of different firmness and height to soothe you to sleep. A brunch style breakfast is offered in traditional surroundings, and you will always be met with a cheerful friendliness to make you feel completely at home.

Our suites:
Alba Chiara: is accessed directly from the garden through a feature loggia. Its three areas provide stunning views to the east and south including the magnificent panorama of Montepulciano as a backdrop to perfectly manicured vineyards.
Verde Intenso: is accessed by a small private balcony at the top of ten stairs. The three rooms are on different levels, divided by ancient steps, and offer a glimpse of the architecture of the past.
Blu Notte: The original peasants' kitchen, this suite has a view from the balcony over the famous church of San Biagio to the south and the profile of Montefollonico to the west.

Rosso Tramonto: The smallest but perhaps the most endearing of the suites, this loft-style space has three large windows and a door providing natural light from sunrise to sunset and in the evening takes on colours from the setting sun. From these windows, you can often see groups of deer grazing before sunset and immediately after dawn.

Prices are Euro 150 per room per night. Single use is Euro 85. Included in the price are breakfast, towels, bed linen (changed every three days), daily cleaning, free internet, free transfer to and from the station in Torrita di Siena and/or Montepulciano.
