Nearby, the town of Montefollonico is a jewel of medieval origins, even more precious in that it has yet to be 'discovered' by the tourist crowds.

Follonico is 6km from Torrita di Siena, where you can find most amenities (restaurants, shops and markets) you will require.

There are scenic walking tracks close to the farm and you will find safe, paved roads throughout the surrounding countryside with an almost complete absence of traffic.

The main tourist areas within the province of Siena are reachable within 30-45 minutes.
