Things to do and places to see in Tuscany

For many guests the beautiful surroundings are sufficient: here you can unwind in the peaceful countryside, reading by the pool, exploring the remarkable religious monuments or taking gentle walks along the many local trails and footpaths.

Supplies are available in the nearby towns of Monticiano (4km) and Chiusdino (8km), but most visitors are keen to visit Siena (30km), capital of the province and an important player in the development of the Renaissance. As well as all of the facilities you would expect from a major city, Siena boasts a staggering wealth of art and architecture and can easily eat up a week or more of your holiday.

The location is pretty much in the middle of Tuscany - a great jumping off point from which to visit the famous vineyards of the region, the great cities of art, the natural parks (especially those of the Maremma to the south) and the sandy beaches of the Tuscan coast.
