Podere Incrociati is situated right in the heart of the Montagnola Senese only fifteen kilometres from Siena. Surrounded by ancient oaks, holm oaks and chestnut trees it is an ideal spot to escape the clamour of the city, immersing yourself in the peace and greenery of this beautiful countryside.
The location of the estate makes it an ideal base for exploring the most important Tuscan cities of art or visiting the coast, and the proximity of the ancient 'Via Francigena' means that there is an abundance of old villages and churches dotted over the charming landscapes. Thanks to its high position (500m above sea level) it enjoys a comfortable climate even in the height of summer and offers a rich natural environment for trekking, mountain biking and horse riding; with luck you will even have the chance to observe the local wildlife including fallow deer, badgers, foxes, porcupines and hedgehogs.
The house, which is divided into two independent apartments, was built in 1840 during the reign of Grand Duke Leopold II of Tuscany. Recently restored, it maintains its original characteristics outside while renovations inside have been carried out as sympathetically as possible to preserve the integrity of this beautiful building. Furnishings are charming and comfortable and are in traditional rural Sienese style. These holiday rental apartments are particularly sunny and bright thanks to the wide natural meadow to the south of the building, and both have their own private outdoor area. Obviously both apartments may be rented as one holiday rental 'unit', ideal for a large group headed to Tuscany.
