Tuscany self-catering - holiday apartments within a mediaeval monastery close to Siena – perfect for exploring Tuscany and the rest of central Italy.
The old monastery was built upon an existing 11th century fortress, and restructured in the 16th century by Baldassarre Peruzzi. All the vacation apartments within, of varying sizes, are equipped with rustic style furniture, most of them antiques.
The apartments are available all year around. These self-catering holiday flats have central heating, and there are two swimming pools, a tennis court, telephone, internet connection and garden; some of the flats have private gardens. Your hosts speak English, German, French and Polish.
Check in is between 4.30pm and 7pm, check out by 10am. Pets are allowed on request. Your hosts will be delighted to arrange cycling trips through the hills or on the roads (and put together mountain biking routes), tennis lessons, horse riding, wine tasting and reservations for Siena’s spectacular Palio horse race. There are also excursions to the nearby nature reserves. They can also cater for special occasions, such as parties and weddings. Baby sitting is available and there is a bar.
In 2004 Linari opened the Beauty and Wellness Centre in the ancient cellars of the villa. The beautifully remodeled space includes a sauna, jacuzzi, hamman, balneothalasso and a chromotherapeutic shower. Guests can also enjoy a variety of beauty treatments such as massage, facials, manicures and yoga. There is a comfortable old room where guests can gather, enjoy a drink or simply relax. From the beggining of 2005 tours, excursions, cooking and ceramics courses will be organised directly by Residence' staff (transfer service included).
