In the search for Siena area vacation rentals, you’ve just found something quite unique. This beautiful apartment is on the third floor of a 14th century palace, joined to a 13th century tower.
The sleeping area, partly formed by part of the ancient tower, comprises a large double bedroom with two windows, frescoes and large built-in wardrobes; there is a lovely bathroom and separate WC, entirely dressed in Sienese marble of the palest green. From the adjacent TV room, steps lead to a twin room, again with ample wardrobe space. Guests have use of a bathroom with shower, decorated with fine ceramics.
The apartment is beautifully finished throughout, with fabulous decorative painting, crystal chandeliers and lots of marble. There are no terraces or balconies with this apartment but the views are sensational. Please note there are 69 stairs from the ground floor to this 4th floor apartment but there is no elevator.
Parking is difficult but not impossible. There is a parking garage available, a bus service within walking distance and the train station is a five-minute cab ride away. Florence is an hour or so, Rome 3 hours and the nearest airport is Florence (90 minutes away).
