A marvellous choice for Tuscany vacation rentals, the village La Campana has a medieval origin, but took its current shape in the seventeenth century, when the Sienese Tolomei Family of bankers built the master's villa with the chapel and enlarged the village.
The buildings have recently been restored and now you can enjoy a relaxing stay here, surrounded by the splendid landscape of the Crete Senesi, by the art and history of this unforgettable corner of Tuscany and by the food and wine of this region, with the famed white truffle.
Each apartment has its own entrance, is beautifully furnished, and has a private shaded external space or terrace, equipped with tables and chairs for dining. The master villa is surrounded by a large park with gazebo and is furnished with late 19th - early 20th century pieces.
All the kitchens in the apartments and in the villa are equipped with cooker, oven, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. Guests have use of the swimming pool, the tennis court, the children's playground, the trekking routes, the laundry room, the barbecue and the internet point.
The beautiful master villa is a traditional old Tuscan house over two floors. Sleeping 11, it has a large living room, dining room, card room, TV room, bathroom, a large kitchen with fireplace, a service room and a cellar. There is a billards room and a selection of double, twin and single rooms, all with their own bathrooms.
The apartments cater for every size of party. Apartment Aquila was fashioned from the old storehouses, Bruco from the priest’s house, Civetta in the oldest part of the buildings, Onda from the gamekeeper’s house and Selva from farm workers’ cottages. Torre was formed from the old barn, along with Drago and Istrice, while Nicchio is in the old stables. All are comfortable and fitted out quite beautifully.
