A superb farm holiday resort in the heart of Umbria … these are luxurious double rooms, junior suites in a beautiful 11th century abbey relais de charme and exclusive holiday apartment in an elegant 12th century stone tower, with typical restaurant and panoramic sea salt water pool.
All the luxury abbey rooms have air conditioning, private bathroom
including bathtub and shower (some with jacuzzi bathtub), PC modem plug,
satellite
TV,
telephone, mini-bar, hairdryer, safe-box, towels for the swimming pool, and
are furnished with original 18th and 19th century furnishings. There are
wooden-beamed
ceilings
and terracotta floors.
There are further rooms in the Parish House, while the Sacristy has a double
room and a junior suite: sleeping four or five, these are perfect for a
family
or group. They’re on the first floor, the windows overlooking the courtyard
and the swimming pool, and one enters via an external stone staircase.
The Tower apartments are the Joker (sleeping 2), The Vassal (5), The Lady (4) and the Knight (4). All are different in type and dimensions, but all are full of light and have wonderful views over the valley and the surrounding woods. They feature original 19th century furnishings, independent heating systems, satellite TV, hairdryers, fireplaces, barrel vaulted ceilings, terracotta floors and full equipped kitchens with washing machines. Each apartment has towels, bed and household linen, mobile telephone and parking space in the carport.
Inside the Tower, on the galleried ground floor, there is a common laundry and a 35 square metre room, which guests can use as a reading room. It has a large dining table and can be used for parties, lunches and dinners, should the Tower be rented by one large group.
Tower apartment lease is weekly, Saturday to
Saturday. Prices range from €380 to €1250 per week, depending on
the season, plus and heating used - firewood
is free. In addition, there is a single room that can be rented if one more
bed
is needed.
It lies on the first floor of the Bagnara Tower. The room has its own bathroom
with shower. It has a lovely view over the surrounding woods and is elegantly
furnished. Prices range from €203 to €273 per week.
Abbey rooms prices range from EURO €110 to €185 per night, depending
on the season, and include breakfast and taxes. Minimum stay is two nights,
three
in high season.
You will be holidaying in comfort. A huge continental breakfast buffet is served each morning from 8:30am till 10:30am, and a bar service is available till 10pm.
There is a huge amount to experience and enjoy during your
stay: guided tours of the farm and its castles; trips with interpreters
to the art cities
of Umbria; mountain biking; massages; cookery classes; flower arranging;
sampling and purchase of the farm’s dop olive oil, doc wine, honey,
“Chianina” cattle meat, vegetables and eggs. Ask for full details
of local events. Babysitting is available on request and there
are towns
nearby offering all the shops and services you will need.
Ask about the special weekend deals, and Christmas, Easter and other breaks,
including low-season stays starting at €55 per person per night. The
