Hotels in Italy - in western Umbria, Italy, not far from Lake Trasimeno and the border with Tuscany, Alla Corte del Sole offers luxurious, four-star holiday hotel accommodation.
The setting is quite lovely. The architecture of the village is a harmonious blend of rustic dwellings, with the old buildings sympathetically brought into modern use. This old settlement dates back to the sixteenth century, with its original centre probably originating in the 1300s, when it belonged to the Order of St. Stephen. It may have been a stopping point for monks and pilgrims travelling the route to Chiusi, Castiglion del Lago and Arezzo.
In fact historians believe the mediaeval village was built over early Christian foundations, accounting for its religious significance during the late Middle Ages, and before travelling to Cortona, Saint Margaret appears to have stayed here. Today the centuries lie gently on the village, which radiates peace, tranquility and calm. And with Lake Trasimeno nearby, you can sit on the verdant banks and watch the silver waters of the lake lapping the shore.
This Umbrian holiday accommodation can receive up to 40 guests, with 19 rooms and suites of varying sizes. Each room is equipped with every comfort and furnished with period furniture. The rooms are rich in detail - a fine painting, a canopied or wrought iron bed, drape curtains and soft fabrics, little armchairs and dressing tables. All rooms have air conditioning, satellite TV, minibar, direct telephone, safe box and internet access. The suites have fireplaces.
Set in a large private garden with fruit trees, a rose garden and olive trees, the Relais has its own outdoor swimming pool. There is free private parking, a laundry service, bicycles available and a babysitting service.
