There will be an additional charge based on consumption of heating, laundry, wood, internet. Services provided include:  Towels (for bathroom and swimming pool) and linens included with weekly change; also weekly cleaning.  A library of DVD's and Videos is available 24 hours a day gratis.  F or the health and the respect of the other guests please don't smoke in the apartments.

As a special service for our guests, we can organize cruises on lake Trasimeno using a pontoon boat specially designed for tourism on water.  The 2 to 3 hour afternoon cruise includes wine and snacks.  The price per person depends on the number of participants.

Lago Trasimeno (10km away) is the fourth largest lake in Italy with 10 exceptionally clean public beaches, four public swimming pools, and nearby facilities for sailing, windsurfing, water skiing, horse riding, golf, tennis, archery and biking, including mountain bikes. The beautiful undulating countryside is perfect for walking.

A ferry from the nearby town of Castiglione del Lago takes you to the island of Isola Maggiore, famous for its lace-making.

In a journey of less than two hours by car you can see some 20 per cent of the world's artistic heritage and explore and experience Etruscan, Mediaeval and Renaissance towns including Castiglione del Lago (voted one of the most beautiful towns in Italy), Paciano (winner of the EU 'perfect village' competition) Chianciano Terme with its thermal baths, and Deruta (famous for its ceramics). Gubbio, Orvieto, Siena, Florence and Rome only start a list that goes on and on.

But before you explore the cities, enjoy some of Italy's richest countryside. Indulge in the finest local Umbrian and Tuscan cuisine and wines and shop in the chic boutiques. Umbria is famous for its virgin olive oil and tartufo. And in Umbria and nearby Tuscany there are ongoing cultural events including international music festivals; symphonic and chamber music, jazz, and opera as well as numerous festas, sagre (feasts), antique fairs and markets to visit and explore.
