Agriturismo Il Pioppo – these are superb countryside apartments in Umbria, and make a great base for your vacation in central Italy.
The agriturismo is in the green heart of Umbria. An historic building, it was completely renovated, work finishing in December 2006. As well as ten lovely apartments, the farm has a superb kitchen and restaurant, using produce organically raised on the farm.
[ View on Google Map | map of region ]These are ten typically Umbrian apartments, restored in stone with both care and taste. This is the ancient Franciscan route from Assisi, which passes by Gubbio by way of Valfabbrica - a land of beautifully rolling Umbrian hills.
The apartments are of various sizes, from one room to three rooms, all with en suite bathrooms, independent kitchens and televisions. The main structure has a marvellous turret, which is part of one of the apartments. The property lies 15 minutes from both Assisi and Perugia, 20 from Corciano, 25 minutes from Spello, a half hour from Gubbio, and 45 minutes from Montefalco.
