Situated in Umbria, the green heart of Italy, 'B&B in Villa' offers you the opportunity to explore this wondrous land from its excellent location between Perugia and Spoleto. Perugia is the provincial capital and is well worth a visit, it is the home of Buitoni (famous for their pasta) and Perugina who make Italy's finest chocolate; the palace of Perugia houses the Galleria Nazionale di Umbria which is filled with Umbrian and Tuscan paintings and it alone is worth the trip. The city was founded by the Etruscans and some of their legacy still remains visible within the city. The city museum houses one of the largest collection of Etruscan artifacts around.

Assisi is well known and little need be said about it, however, Spoleto is truly a hidden gem. It lies south of our location and was once the capital and home for a Lombard dukedom, and remained one for six centuries. It is on the ancient Via Flaminia which was the Roman road north from Rome. Now Spoleto it is known principally for its music festival, the Festival of the Two Worlds, which takes place at the end of June to the middle of July.
Only a short walk away is the town of Montefalco, a truly wondrous place steeped in the history of this magnificent land. Its mediæval walls encircle a town filled with a myriad of historic churches and buildings. The views of Umbria from its lofty vantage have earned it the distinction of being named the "Umbrian balcony", from where you can see out over the valleys of Umbria.

The B&B was built by the Valentini family in a stunning location; the garden offers views toward Perugia and Spoleto and is an excellent place to relax and take in the verdant scenery that surrounds you.
