Approaching this spectacular sight through a tree-lined valley, you come across the imposing fortress, created by Cardinal Albornoz. This city could have been untouched since the fifteenth century, with tranquil piazzas, Romanesque churches, a maze of thousand year old streets and stepped alleyways.
