In a panoramic position, lying in the countryside outside the small village of Rocca Ripesena and with the Cathedral of Orvieto before it, the farmhouse loses itself among the oaks, the vineyards and the olive groves of the Ceprini Family.
La Rocca Orvieto has been rebuilt with respect for its surroundings and furnished with care and attention to detail; it offers comfort and a high level of service. In the restaurant you will find simple and tasty foods prepared with typical local products and served with the best wines of the area.
There is an equipped gym with changing rooms and showers; a wellness centre with Jacuzzi and steam-bath; a tasting room for regional products, complete with lounge and big fireplace; a buffet breakfast with home-made specialities; a restaurant with panoramic views; a meeting room with internet connections; an outdoor swimming pool with shower and broad sun terrace. Six new flats are being readied (from 55sqm to 75sqm), with cooking corners, private entrances and parking. A small pond for sports fishing is also being prepared. The farm accommodates around 25 people, lodged in 11 rooms of differing kinds (single, double or triple rooms), all of them equipped with private bathrooms, independent heating, air conditioning, satellite TV, direct dial lines with internet connections and safes.
There is a cornucopia of nature to discover either on foot or by mountain bike. Just follow the broad network of more than 300km of paths that stretch into the mountains. La Rocca Orvieto has been awarded the Quality and Green Tourism Flag by the local tourist authority. Thanks to its excellent geographical position, the farmhouse is an ideal departure point for some of the most famous places of central Italy. There is a host of villages, towns and cities of historical, artistic and cultural interest. Orvieto, with its Etruscan tombs and Saint Patrick’s well is the nearest, but within an hour by train or car lie Siena, Perugia, Assisi, Todi, Spoleto, Rome, Florence, Arezzo.
