The estate of Frassanelle, deep in the countryside of Venice Italy, has been in the hands of the Counts of Papafava since the 13th century. The 150 hectare property consists of organically grown land, a 19th century English-style park and a skilfully designed 18-hole golf course.

All of this lies just 20km south of Padua, within easy reach of the famous historic villas of the Veneto, many of them built by the great Italian architect Andrea Palladio. And within striking distance are the Italian cities of Venice (50km), Vicenza (23km), Verona (90km), Ferrara (80km), Mantua (98km), Asolo and the Italian Lakes.

Possibly your main reason for visiting the Veneto is its immense cultural wealth and variety. Frassanelle's position makes for many an inspiring day trip to Padua, Venice, Vicenza, Verona, Ferrara, Lake Garda or Este. This Italian farmhouse rental lies on an organic farm. The owners see the estate's future as a full-circle organic farm: cultivation, products, cattle, fruit trees and vegetable gardens.

The golf club is considered the best in the area. Two further 18-hole golf courses: Golf Club Montecchia and Golf Club Padova, can be reached in less than 15 minutes by car. There are reduced green fees for guests of the farm. The club house - a cleverly converted farm building with a pleasant restaurant - serves excellent light lunches and full dinners.
