The stunning castle and surrounding buildings are set in elegantly manicured gardens at the foot of wooded slopes in the Veneto (Venice) region. Surrounding Ispida are the vines and olive groves of the estate - fine wine and olive oil is produced here, from crops raised organically and in carefully harmony with the natural cycles of the earth.
The Castle offers a choice of atmospheric settings: majestic frescoed halls in the Castle, the spacious and airy Granary, and the Refectory with its impressive box-ceiling dating back to the 1400s. The holiday accommodation itself is very special. There is something for every size of party and every taste, but what all have in common is a meticulous wedding of the ancient with every modern comfort. The apartment Gli Ulivi,for example, sleeping eight, is located on the ground and first floor and faces the vineyards on the south-west side of the castle. It is furnished with antique pieces and carefully restored. Has 3 bedrooms, a living room with a double sofa-bed and wood stove, a fitted kitchen corner, 4 bathrooms (3 with Jacuzzi and one with shower), washing machine and dryer. Private garden with furniture and terrace. Free use of the swimming pool and its garden.
The apartment Il Portico, sleeping seven, faces the wide park in front of the castle . It's furnished with antique pieces and carefully restored and, located on the ground floor, is suitable also for disabled. Has two bedrooms (a double and a twin), a living room with a double sofa-bed, a fitted kitchen corner with fireplace and dishwasher, two bathrooms (one with jacuzzi and one with tub). Has a large private terrace and the use of the swimming pool and its garden.
La Dimora del Re is a roomy apartment on the first floor of the castle, and where Italy's king, Vittorio Emanuele III stayed in 1918. The holiday flat, sleeping up to four, has two double rooms, a billiard room, living room with original fixtures and a ceramic wood-burning stove. The flat is furnished throughout with rare antique furniture, etchings and rugs. The apartment has a fitted kitchen with dishwasher and microwave, a double bathroom, telephone, air-conditioning and satellite-TV and CD-player.
La Camera Castello is a charming room on the ground floor of the castle; you enter through the majestic corridor leading to La Dimora del Re. The room has been tastefully refurbished with antique furniture and prints. The room has two beds, an ample bathroom with an old-fashioned bathtub, telephone and heating.
