Veneto - This choice of two villas (or bed and breakfast holiday accommodation), plus a host of cookery, art and history tours makes this the perfect way to explore and get to know northern Italy.
Il Faé is surrounded by the beautiful hills of Conegliano, lying in the town of San Pietro di Feletto, 8km from Conegliano itself. Here you'll have an opportunity to experience the quiet, peaceful countryside and to taste the local food - a delight. And the accommodation is very handy for Venice, Treviso, Asolo and Cortina d'Ampezzo. Venice is 45km away, Treviso 20km - each city has an airport.

Il Faé was restuctured a year ago. Il Faé 1 covers 300 square metres over three floors. There is a little kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, fridge, gas stove, oven and food processor. There is a full bathroom with shower, and a big dining room with large dining table and TV. On the first floor are two double rooms with private baths and two double rooms sharing a common bathroom (with shower). On the second floor is a suite (or a triple room) with private bath, and a large study/library with an internet point available on request.
Il Faé 2 covers 240 square metres over three floors. There is a little kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, fridge, gas stove, oven and food processor. It has a big dining room with TV corner. On the first floor are two double rooms with private bathrooms (one shower, one bath). The second floor has a large suite with private bath and Jacuzzi.
The houses are completely furnished in antique Veneto country style, with a swimming-pool and barbecue in the garden. The area is famed for wineries, specialising in the production of Prosecco sparkling white wine and red DOC wine. This part of Italy is also a storehouse of art treasures.
Guests enjoy special rates and access to the 18-hole course at Cansiglio Golf Club, just 30 minutes away and situated in the magical Cansiglio Forest. On request, your hosts can provide catering, a tour guide, internet point, laundry service, connection to and from the airport, cleaning, and food and wine tastings.
Guests at Il Faé will experience the authentic atmosphere of Treviso. There are visits and tasting sessions to regional wineries, distilleries, salami and ham factories and dairies. Enjoy the renowned Treviso chicory, wines, grappa, white asparagus, fresh and ripe cheeses ... truly Trevisano! At the many restaurants, bars, and osterie of the area, you will taste traditional local dishes, with freshly harvested seasonal ingredients, accompanied by local wines such as Prosecco, Cabernet, Verdiso and Marzemino.
There is good walking and cycling along beautiful hilly paths and cities of art such as Asolo, Treviso, Vittorio Veneto and Conegliano. There are castles, abbeys, Palladian villas, frescoed churches, museums and the oldest wine School in Italy.

The staff at Il Faé have itineraries ready prepared for walking tours and cycling expeditions. And there are gluten-free cooking classes on request. Contact your hosts, Sabina and Salvatore Valerio, for the special program.
Recreational cooking classes can be organised on request.
Or explore the history of the region, its nature, history, art and flavours, by exploring the Strada del Prosecco. You will explore little villages among the vineyards, old rural towns, ancient abbeys and elegant villas. The one-day Conegliano tour allows you to discover artist Giambattista Cima and the walled city itself. There are visits to the Duomo, with its altarpiece by Cima, the 16th century frescoes of the Sala dei Battutti, and then a climb to the castle. Or visit Ceneda and Serravalle, the two old rival cities united in honour of King Vittorio Emanuele II. See Asolo, the city of a hundred views. Take the 'Castle tour' (there are dozens in the area). There are day tours centred on the local churches and rural chapels, and of course there is a guided tour to Venice. Your guide, Marco Zanusso, is an art expert and connoisseur of Venetian painting and architecture. He lives in Venice and knows virtually every stone of it - this is a fantastic opportunity to get to know the city.
