Superior bedrooms
This simple yet elegant canal-side hotel in Venice offers a warm welcome, an excellent restaurant, and a central location near the Rialto Bridge and the Grand Canal.
The hotel has 18 rooms, all on the first floor. Ten of these are recently restored standard rooms, all with private bathroom and telephone, some looking onto the canal and the passing gondolas. Others look onto the Campiello and Calle Dolfin.
Superior bedroom
There are eight superior rooms, opened in October 2002 following careful restoration of an ancient palazzo, and furnished in 18th century Venetian style. These rooms have private bathrooms, hairdryer, safety deposit box, telephone, TV and soundproof doors and windows. Some of these rooms look out onto the canal, others onto typical narrow Venetian streets.
Single rooms range from EURO €35 to €70 per night; double standard rooms are from €70 to €100 per night; double standard rooms with view range from €80 to €120 per night; double superior with air-conditioning range from €90 to €120 per night; double superior with view and air-conditioning are from €100 to €140 per night. Extra beds are available at €20 per night.
The keynotes of the hotel are simplicity, courtesy and a desire to give guests a peaceful and relaxing retreat in this most beautiful and romantic of cities.
The Al Vagon restaurant has been managed by the family since 1950. It is located in the same building as the hotel, and at the canal side. It has a large inside room seating around 100 and a typical portico-covered area alongside the canal. Here, between April and October, you can dine in a romantic atmosphere, with gondolas passing by, and well away from the tourist hordes.
